S.W. Blayde Take the time to learn the craft of writing fiction. Writing fiction has its own unique characteristics from other forms of writing. Also, take the time to learn punctuation, especially for dialogue. Read, read, read, especially in the genre you write in.

Rules can be broken, but you must no you're breaking them rather than simply making mistakes for it to be effective.
