Hello Kathleen, I hope you are well. I have a group of 7th grade girls in a book group. We are reading the Stranje House series. G has some questions. They are: 1. From whose perspective is the fourth book? 2. When is it coming out? 3. Will this be the last one? We hope not..we want to know all of the girls' stories. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Sherry!
The fourth book, Harbor for the Nightingale, is told from Maya's POV, which is exciting, but also very challenging to write, as she hears the world more than sees it.
Maya's story begins like this:
All the world is sound. Even if I were blind, I would still be able to see. It is as if everything hums—the trees, the air, stones, and people—especially people. They all sing songs.
Some songs are more dangerous than others.
I am not sure of the release date yet. There's talk of May or Summer. We are working with some film people and want to coordinate all that. But hopefully it will come out soon.
After that, I will be working on Sera's POV.
Thank you for your questions and because your book group is reading the series, if you send me privately Kathleen at KathleenBaldwin.com) a head count and a mailing address I will be happy to ship your group some fun swag.
Great hearing from you!

Kathleen Baldwin:
Hey Kathleen, I am a huge fan of your books! I'm in the process of writing a fiction book myself, and I wanted to ask you about your publishing experience. What were the steps you took after completing your manuscript? Also, how long did it take for your book to get published? Do you NEED an agent, and do you pay your agent while getting your book published or does that happen after? Thanks!
