My middle school experience certainly didn't have as much mayhem as Austin's does, but I will say that some of Austin's experiences were inspired by events that took place during my own middle school years. I did ask out a girl on the track, but didn't fall on my face, thankfully.

Not a question, but a compliment! I picked up the book because I work in a middle school, with sixth grade specifically. I am laughing so hard and can see some of my kids in Austin's situation. Thank you for creating a realistic voice for the middle school crowd. And this has to contain a question mark?
