Goodreads asked Michael Prescott:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Michael Prescott In some ways I welcome writer's block. If I can't proceed with a scene, it invariably means there's something wrong with it. I give myself some time to think about it, and then write down possible problems. Usually the correct problem appears on that list pretty quickly. Once I resolve whatever issue was bothering me, I can write the scene without procrastinating. So I think it's best to respect writer's block, and not to bulldoze your way through it.
