Superheroes and bdsm are an absolutely natural combination. So when the thought occurred to me, it was just a question of figuring out the characters. Silhouette was a character who had been floating around in my head for a long time, so he became the superhero, but he wasn't self-aware enough about his needs to be the main character. So I wound up writing his story from the villain's PoV. Dr Inevitable just sprang into life in my mind--his attitude, his voice, his desires--they were all just there. So I guess in some way, Dr. Inevitable is an alter ego of mine.
