Many people have asked what inspired me to write The Cendovian. I wanted to tell a story where programmers are the heroes. I've worked with many great programmers and great programming teams. Software is changing our world. But programmers are underappreciated in fiction for the creative forces they wield. I also wanted to tell a story that plays in the grey areas and prompts the reader to wonder about what is right and what is wrong, and who is good and who is evil.
