Goodreads asked Daniel Terelmes:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Daniel Terelmes Write something and get it out there. Don't wait until it's perfect because it's never going to be. If you have a project, write down goals and timelines. Ex: finish first chapter, finish first draft, send to proofreader/editor, publish.

Just get it out there. Then you can second guess yourself and make the next book better.

Also, don't expect to get rich unless you're a master of marketing. I come to find that most self-published authors can't even buy themselves a nice dinner off the royalties they earned. But, you're book is out there and that's what matters.
