Ed Ireland asked Dana Burkey:

Do you have a set goal of words per day (like Stephan King's goal of 2000 w/p/d) or do you just write as long as the story flows?

Dana Burkey Thanks to doing NaNoWriMo in 2014 I try to write my books in a shorter time frame so I can get the first draft all finished and on the page then go back and make edits. My book that is coming out this summer was written in about 22 days. This means I am often writing 2,000-3,000 words a day. Sometimes, I go a LOT farther in a day when I am really on a roll. I am working on the second book in my TNT Force Cheer Series right now and I average about 4,000-5,000 words a day. I don't always plan to get that much in, but thankfully when I'm loving the project my fingers just fly over the keys! :)
