Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

L.K. Latham This was a fun one to answer: While sitting in one of my regular coffee shops (before COVID), I developed a craving for a hot, flakey croissant. Alas, while my shop has excellent tea and coffee, it does not have good pastry. So, my mind wondered, and I took to listening to the surrounding conversations. Two tables over were four college-age students discussing their nursing homework. To my immediate left were two other students discussing politics. Later that day, as I prepared dinner, I began fitting these people and my cravings into a background. The next thing I knew, CC (from Midnight in Line and Form) sat at the table and told me about her latest adventure.
