Two things really:
1. Write and read - a lot. It's a craft you need to keep working on like all arts. I have definitely got better with experience, including my ideas, my style, my vocabulary, even down to grammar.
2. Write for you and remember that when people give you negative comments. If it's constructive, fine. If it offers you nothing but criticism, keep in mind this is your love, your passion and it's ok if others don't like it.
