What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

K.D. Holmberg Study the craft. I had an idea for a book nearly a dozen years ago, but I realized I didn't know how to turn it into a novel. I started at a writers guild by signing up for beginner online courses and went through their training until I finished as a master craftsman. I worked with several mentors, read nearly every book out there on writing, and attended as many conferences as I could to take classes from published authors.
