How do you get inspired to write?

Lauren Jankowski I've always loved fantasy and mythology, but I could never find characters I could identify with. I wanted strong kickass women who went on quests like the boys did. I wanted adoptees whose stories didn't revolve solely on their biological family. No one was writing those sorts of stories, so I decided I would. I'd write for the strong independent women, the feminists, who wanted fantasy stories with equally strong empowered women protagonists. Years later, here I am. Still writing kickass women, feminists, and I'm not slowing down.
