Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Liz Alden Nutcracker with Benefits is inspired by The Nutcracker performed by Houston Ballet that my grandmother took me to for 25 years. I loved the whole thing - the grace, beauty and strength of the dancers, the cultural exposure, the fun. But I always wanted more romance-so many of the dances were seductive and I could only dream of what it would be like to be whisked away to a fantasy land. My book is set in New York, but is not lacking for adventure and exploration.
