Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

K.A. Silva The ending image of my prior book Straw Man, with a witch and a scarecrow embracing, stuck with me and led me back to the land of Oz. I wanted to write a darker take on L. Frank Baum's classic characters, but set at least partly in our world. Theo, who was a supporting character in Straw Man, stole all her scenes and definitely needed her own book!
