Nicola Matthews
Kitty Canham is a folk tale told at the Bell Inn in Thorpe-le-Soken, the village next to my own. She is said to haunt there. The intreguing events surrounding her disapearance and reappearance intregued me. Also, the local rural landscape and haunting backwaters where she would have walked 300 years before me, really got my imaginationg going. I had to write her story.
