Fellow metalhead and musician here. I'm the drummer for the Texas, USA-based band Krigsgrav. I'm currently working on my first novel, but struggling to consistently work on it. On any given night there are a million things that I try to get done after my son goes to bed, and I struggle to focus on the book. Just seeing if you had any suggestions for me? David Sodergren Hi David, that's a difficult one. First of all, at least you're able to find some time, which isn't always easy. But as for keeping your focus on the writing? You could try doing what I do, which is creating a playlist for the book that helps set the mood and tone. I use film scores and instrumental pieces mostly, to build a kinda soundtrack to the book. This helps me focus, as I know that when that music is playing, I Know I should be thinking about and writing the book.
