My eccentric mother used to tell tales about my eccentric great-grandmother in Ireland, who once had an encounter with Old Scratch. I wrote a short story about it years ago, early in my writing career, and later posted it on my website. Someday I’d love to expand it into a full novel. All my mother's tales would be fun to write.
