After a severe lighting story at my house as a kid, I watched a bright beam of light hover over our yard for several minutes, searching for something, then fly away silently at an impossible angle. To this day, I have no idea what I saw. But if it was a UFO - why were they there? What were they looking for? I sense a plot for a book here.
