How can you put your imagination on a deadline? You're creating art and I just do not understand how you (or any writer) can force that into a time frame.

Look at my bills, I've said before, lol. A more fuller answer is treating it as a discipline. I have to require my imagination to be subject to me if I'm to use it when it's time.
Some days it likes to play stubborn and I have to step out of the boat onto the proverbial water and move it along. Maybe I need to talk to it, reason with it, beat it. Whatever I need to do. I guess like anything you want to master, overcoming ourselves must happen if we are to succeed.
