Goodreads asked Ann Major:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Ann Major I have writer's block all the time. I believe it is part of the process. It is like the LOADING mechanism of your computer. You sit at your computer watching that little circle go round and round and do nothing. Your subconscious is working but you can't see it or feel it--other than the fact that you feel sort of constipated. And then suddenly, if you keep working, BOOM, you crash through the block. It feels like magic, but it isn't. Your subconscious finally processed what it needed to do. And you are off and running UNTIL the next block. I do best if I'm not interrupted. Sometimes then I can stay in the flow.
