I just force my way through it. In daily journalism, we don't have the luxury of having writer's block -- we have deadlines! If I'm really stuck on how to proceed with a chapter or a news story, I make an outline. Or I put all my notes away and just put down the best first sentence I can think. With a good lead, the rest sometimes seems to write itself. (Okay, not exactly, but I can dream...)
