Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

D.J. Wilde My stories are based on a universe of characters that live in my head. Each of them have their own tales to tell so I'm working on them a bit at a time. Chessmen is about a royal guard framed for murder while trying to protect the infant princess. It's just their story and it's been in my head for a long time. GZ Tales allows me to break into more individual stories. To diverge where they all came from before that would be another series of books in itself.
