For this first book, inspiration occurred because of a nagging in the back of my mind. I couldn't shake off the fact every story told on this topic was about a female who was either completely evil, or someone who had been forced into the situation. Why couldn't she just be a normal girl facing a difficult decision?
Secondly, the other side of the coin was in relation to religious material. When researching, I found that the religious aspect was not that much different than mainstream ideas. The character was either evil or forced.
Inspiration came out of an observation. I believe this to be true with all of my inspirational ideas. At then end of the day, it is a perception over an event that inspires.
