Goodreads asked D.L. Havlin:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

D.L. Havlin Dealing with writers block isn't a problem I've had to face in 20+ years of writing. I believe the reason I haven't faced this obstacle is life lesssons learned and the manner in which I pursue my craft. First - Because I started writing at an advanced age and have been fortunate to have an extensive life resume my primary problem is having time to write about all the things I'd like not the reverse. Second - I believe readers are thinkers. With this in mind, the research I do to satisfy my readers creates many paths do execute my basic themes. Third - I'm an outliner and planner. I know precisely what I want to accomplish and how I'll do it before I start writing. That doesn't preclude me from drastically changing my plans when a creative possibility comes along.
