Hey Gail! I love your Parasol Protectorate series, I think it is just perfect... One of my favourite series ever. I know you enjoyed The Song of the Lioness series by Tamora Pierce... I was wondering how you felt about The Immortals and all her other book?

I love Kel (the Protector of the Small series) almost as much as Alanna. I really enjoyed the Bekka series as well. I liked the Trickster duology, mostly for the political stuff and the culture conflict. For some reason, I never got into the Immortal Wars. I may have to reread that series again.
I actually don't really like Pierce's non-Tortall stuff. I loved the idea behind the magical system but the characters didn't grab me. I read the first set but then kind of petered out and didn't finish the rest. Lack or romance, I suspect.
