Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Matthew FitzSimmons I went into it knowing that I wanted to keep Gibson Vaughn grounded in the real world to the best of my ability. He has a computer background, but I wanted it to be an honest portrayal of hacking and for him not to be a superhero with a keyboard. The movies like to portray hacking as this lightning fast duel when in reality hacking is a slow and patient process.
That principle guided me through the entire book - if it wasn't possible in the real world then I kept looking until I found a solution that was. Sometimes that led to frustrating dead ends, but I hope that it makes Gibson and Company real
