Hi, this is not your usual question. I've just started reading your novel The Silent Girls and it really drew me in. Then I read the bit (in reference to the judicial system) which said "who were these people who made such atrocious decisions? They had to be childless" It was so jarring to me and it's playing on my mind so I guess I'm wondering why you put that in there. Emma

Hi Emma, Thanks for reading and for the question. It was just one of hundreds of bits that jump into my mind as I write. Most often when I write I feel more like someone reporting as an eavesdropper on the characters lives and thoughts and emotions. Often I am as jarred as the reader at these discoveries. Cheers

Eric - Not really a question, but wanted to say thank you so much for writing The Silent Girls. I just got back into reading and this book was just what I was looking for. Something that kept me interested and that I couldn't put down. Your book was that and more. Thanks a million. My question was going to be...will there be a sequel?
