After reading your Popular Answered Questions I'm inclined to think that READER sound a whole lot like Killfile. Was there just a title change for the proposed book? Thanks for Killfile, it was a great read. When it's published it will certainly be one of my staff recommendations at my local B&N. Yes, KILLFILE is the novel formerly known as READER. The new title speaks with a little more authority, I think.

Have you thought of writing an anthology that had a short story for each of Cade's human partners? Could be an interesting way to flush out the changes in Cade over time, if there were any, a bit of history, and his human partners. Whether they were "friends", associates, barely tolerant. Just a thought.
