Goodreads asked Chris Lowry:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Chris Lowry I think there are two main ways to deal with writer's block. First, have more than one story or series going at a time, and think about them always. I have 3 series always bubbling, my Shadowboxer series about the adventures of a retired hitman trying to get out of the game, the Marshal of Magic comedy series about a lucky Wizard hunting down 13 witches after he disrupts one of their rites, and my Battlefield Z series about a dad hunting for his children after the zombie apocalypse. With those 3 rolling, I have enough to keep me working, not to mention blog posts, long comments on other posts, and reviews for books I've read.
The second thing is routine. If you write at the same time everyday, if you drink the same drink, and start with the same actions before you put pen to page, or finger to keyboard or voice to diction, then your brain will train itself to shift into writing mode. Once you've established that habit, you're well on your way to being a creative machine that can produce on command.
So really, there's no such thing as writer's block, just writer procrastination, which I can suffer from greatly at times. I fight that gravity by keeping my routine, getting up to walk every hour and sticking to a schedule.
