I would say;
Find an idea you really believe in. Because if you don´t believe in it yourself and your idea, no one else probably will.
Have fun! And let go, while writing. Your work does not have to be perfekt in the first round. Don´t worry to much about your spelling and such. You can always correct your mistakes later.
Make sure you have a good timeline early in the writing process. It makes everyting so much easier. Stick to it, but remember you can still make changes if something better comes to mind.
And one more; Check out the internet to make sure no one else already published a book to similar to yours.
