Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Leanne Rathbone The idea has been bouncing around in my head for around 7 years now, I have notes everywhere about it, little snippets and tidbits but I never really focused on it or spent any time progressing the story. As daft as it sounds, the story came to me when I was in bed. I was in that nothingland that lives between sleep and awake, and all of a sudden I had a vision of a room with a wall filled with backpacks. Some old and battered, some shiny and new. Then (and I really don't know where it came from) I got this waft of scent and a sort of vision. I won't say any more than that because you know...spoilers, but from then I just knew I had to write it...even if it did take me 7 years!
