Working in Vietnam as a volunteer with a number of agencies serving children, I became aware of the extent of child trafficking in SE Asia. I wanted to add my voice to the existing information available in the academic and journalistic literature. By writing a novel about this global social problem, I hope to reach a different audience

Thank you for your service. I had the good fortune to work with Col. Pete Peterson from Florida. He went on to serve as a member of Congress & as an ambassador to Vietnam. He had been a P.O.W. for I believe seven years & was one of the kindest, gentlest men I have known. Do you think that returning to Vietnam has helped you heal? I am a psychologist & am curious to know about paths to healing.
