Can you tell us abotu the Dark/Spark books? I saw they've been cancelled by the publisher, do you plan to self publish? Can you let us in on what you had planned?

James Alan Gardner Thanks for your question, Adam! I had originally planned on four books, each centering on one of the four main characters. The next one would be Miranda's book, tentatively titled NOBODY TOLD ME YOU COULD BREAK THE MOON. It would involve some wandering through the multiverse in order to show hints of how the Dark come into being, and why the Dark and Sparks always fight whenever they come into contact.

I've considered self-publication, and I might go that route eventually. However, I'm lazy and would rather go with traditional publishing if possible. That's why I'm working on something completely new; it has characteristics in common with Dark vs. Spark, but no direct connection. I hope to finish it within a few months. Then we'll see if it sells. Fingers crossed...
