Hands down, the best thing about being a writer is hearing from readers. When someone contacts me (usually on social media) to let me know they stayed up late to finish the book, it makes my day. It's also been fun to hear readers' interpretations of the plot and characters. Some book clubs have really dissected the story much more than I would have thought.
