What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Nancy Star Read, read, read. Writers grow by reading. Read the writers you love. Read their books twice, first to enjoy them and again to peek behind the curtain and see if you can understand what they did to get you to feel the way you did. Write every day! Even if you only write a page, a paragraph, a sentence, keep the story going so you don't lose your way. And be prepared to tough it out. Rejection is a part of every writer's life.
