Goodreads asked Aden Lowe:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Aden Lowe Write, and rewrite. Read everything, good and bad, and dissect it all to see what's working and what's not. Read heavily in your genre, but read as many genres as you possibly can. You might find that one element that makes your work entirely original for your genre. Write every single day, even if it's five minutes, and add words. Set attainable goals and increase them as your ability increases, and finish projects. Learn the rules of grammar, punctuation and good writing mechanics. Don't use poor grammar and call it 'style', it simply makes it harder for the reader to read. Stretch your vocabularly but use words in the correct form and the right context. Don't be afraid to cut huge passages from your work. The words aren't gold-plated and didn't cost you anything, and there are more where those came from, and making your work better is never a waste of time or work. Above all, write, rewrite, write some more.
