Goodreads asked Phyllis A. Still:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Phyllis A. Still If I'm stuck in a scene, I'll read the previous one or the chapter before, which refreshes my memory on the purpose of the scene in the plotline.

Another helpful use of writer's block is to read the work of other authors, study the writing craft, take a walk and record, or write a description, of the sounds I hear.
