Kim asked M.A. Blisher:

Hi, I have recently read all 5 of your Five in a bed books(I read all 5 in 4 days) and I have to say it is one of my most favorite series ever. I also like the Dick and Shane series, but love yours even more. Do you have any recommendations of other series in this genre? It's not an easy genre to find, especially m/m/m which is my preference. But I am open to read m/f or m/m/f. Thanks Kim

M.A. Blisher Hi Kim!

It’s always very exciting when I get new readers of my series–especially when they enjoy it so much ☺. It’s so satisfying to know that my characters and storyline are bringing pleasure to others. It’s even better to be a favorite ;). From what I read of the Dick and Shane series, they are very delightful, and I take the comparison as high praise.

I wish I had other recommendations for series, but I really don’t know of any. I know they’re out there, but I’ve not read them. I love writing and seeing my characters come alive, but one of the drawbacks for me is that (at least (hopefully) temporarily) it’s ruined my ability to read other books of the same genre. For some reason I can’t bring myself to do it.

I have a friend who’s hooked on Dan Skinner. He has a popular blog featuring sexy artwork and books that he writes, but I’m not sure if he’s written a series. Series tend to be difficult to write and maintain and are not the most lucrative for this genre. I will tell you that’s I’ve stumbled across the work of Fabian Black/Cat and read the Jack and Daniel Chronicles. The book is a silly fun domestics discipline story with no sex scenes. It’s actually the book that got me started in writing for myself. K.A. Mitchell is a successful writer of gay romance who encouraged me way back to self-publish after reading some of my stuff online. I’d also like to send a shout out to Brina Brady who has sent out a positive tweet about my series, and I promised to give her books a try once my latest was published. So I’m looking forward to finding the time to do that.

I love to encourage new writers to give their voice a try. A fan of mine requested that I write more about Jason and Damon. I’ve turned the table on her and requested that she give it a try herself. She stepped up and sent me some very impressive stuff. I’ve agreed to be a co-author with her if she keeps it up. I hope she does and we’ll have something to publish together next year.
