Its brown, broken leather crunched and creaked beneath him. He sat for a moment, his eyes washing over the dash before he allowed himself to reach out and grab the wheel. He turned it and then pressed a few buttons on the busy control panel. Nothing happened, but he was awestruck, and tears ran down his cheeks as he laughed out loud. He felt that tingle of magic, as if he’d just discovered dinosaurs still existed. He couldn’t yet articulate it, but his heart was full and his mind clear. The world was no longer dark, and his life had changed forever.”
