Young Adult Book Reading Challenges discussion

Has anyone seen the movie The Chocolate War or read the sequel Beyond the Chocolate War? The sequel continues just a few months after The Chocolate War ends.

I am going to check out the movie this weekend!

I've just got the sequel from the library. I thought the "Chocolate War" was great and only realised the other day that there's a sequel (which, of course, I had to get from the library straight away!). Hoping to read it some time this weekend.

I didn't even realise there was a movie? Is it a recent one?

I'm finishing Beyond the Chocolate War now. 50 pages left. . . Got to say, there's a lot about betrayal and vengeance.
This happens rarely, but I like the sequel more than the first. Maybe because I already know the characters? Or maybe the new theme about revenge? I don't know. . .

The movie came out in 1988. I read that it is rated R, but that it was made before there was such thing as a PG 13 rating.
