Arena 3
((Wow Emily I love this Arena! Great job!))
As Cullen heard the one minute timer, he started a mad dash towards a building. Must be the cornucopia this year. He thought to himself. Once he is in, he threw open a coffin numbered 14. He grinned and snatched up the daggers before he dashed to number one, where he scored big and grabbed the basket of food. Then he began running away towards the left of the Arena, where he saw the shimmering of water.
Sapphire burst off the platform at the right time and reached the Morgue with not much difficulty. She opened number nine, grinned and grabbed a bow. Then she looked around and guessed ten. Yes! She thought, quickly grabbing all the arrows except one that fell out while she was running out of the Cornnucopia in the direction of Cullen. Suddenly she saw the coffin behind the Morgue and knew there was something useful in it. She threw it open and grinned, grabbed a shovel and began running as quickly as she could with her heavy load. Her breathing was getting more labored.

Ariya hadn't felt scared at all. Not in this entire experience. She hadn't felt fear when she got reaped, she hadn't felt fear in the training room, or the evaluation room, or her interview. Even stepping into her glass tube, she didn't feel afraid. Her heart jumped as she moved upward, but from anxiety. She wanted to see the arena. She had a feeling - she was already planning what she would do. She needed to get in, get out. But if she couldn't get in, then screw it. She was finally high enough to see out.The timer bgan to count down. One minute. That was all she had. She saw the graves, tried to ignore them, and looked to the cornucopia/morgue. That was scary. You had to actually go inside, where most times you could grab something and run.
"10... 9..." She realized how little time she had. She'd never been a fast runner. But when the '1' was called, she was gone. Whether it was dtermination or adrenaline, she made it to the building as one of the firsts. Quickly yanking open the first drawer she saw when she came to a stop, she pulled out three coats from the one labled "8". Within seconds she had 7 open and a sythe out of it, moving down the line to 6. Oh, jackpot. Some medicine-looking things. She didn't take time to look at what it was, because she heard the others behind her. She whipped aroud, weilding her sythe, and shot out the door again.
Dakota's stragedy was different. He ran with the others, towards the back, watching carefully. At the cornucopia, he constantly watched his back, running to the far end. He opened 23 because it was closest and kept his eyes towards the other tributes. He glanced down at the shovels, dumbstruck for a moment, before scooping one out.14 was next closest. He was pleased by the daggers, grabbing three of them. He reached over, swiftly sticking his hand into number 13. He didn't take time to really look at what was in the tiny bottles, but he had a few of them.
Dakota felt like he needed more things, but his hands were full. He quickly backed out of the door, which was clear at the moment.
Mirima shot off with the rest of the Tributes and got there soon after another one had left leaving it empty but it wouldn't stay that way for more than two minutes she knew. She went to each and ever cofffin as fast as she could to see what was inside them. In the end she grabbed two bows and one arrow that had fallen on the floor, a tent, a medicene/waterpurifier type thing, a slingshot, and three of the jackets. She finally left after seeing the dead body of the teenager. She ran off after where she had seen Cullen go and hoped that she didn't run into anyone else on the way.
Faith also raced to the morgue. She knocked over a smaller Tribute who was also going there but didn't stop. She got there and grabbed whatever she could get her hands on which turned out to be, four knives, a vial of medicine, a tent, the last slingshot, and two jackets. On her way out she tripped over the same tribute as earlier. While she was on the ground she kicked her foot out at them, her foot hitting nothing, but immediatly leapt up and ran towards the river that she could see in the distance.
Cullen reached the dark woods where he could safely watch his back. He smiled as he saw mirima and Sapphire running for him. He put all the fourteen daggers into his clothes, so they were invisible.
Sapphire ran towards cullen, her breathing extremly labored. She stopped once she reached Cullen and she leaned against a tree, hyperventilating.
Cullen stroked Sapphires back, helping her to come back to normal.

Ariya ran until she was at the edge of the trees. She was dead tired when she made it. She hid behind one, trying to spot her allies. She slipped on one of the coats, shoving things into the pockets, watching as much of the arena as she could, waiting to see Claire or Zephure.((Zephure hasn't posted in a LONG time. Has anyone else noticed?))
Dakota ran for a while at a steady lope. He went in a direction with no other tributes around, only going about half-way to the dead forest before stopping and breathing hard. He just wanted out of range. Glancing at the cornucopia hoping no one was watching him, he ducked behind a large gravestone. He landed on his knees and said a rushed prayer, then layed on his stomach and watching to see if anyone was coming for him.
Zander rushed into the arena, heading for the morgue. He swiftly dodged arrows and spears aimed at him, and finally reached his destination. He took some spears that had dropped on the floor, and opened the first coffin. "Yes!" He whispered as he took the basket in his hands. He ran out of the morgue, dodging more weapons aimed at him, running into the wooded area a long ways from there. He found a good place to make a shelter, set up, and waited for his allies, hoping they hadn't been killed already.
Mirima watched as Cullen help Sapphire and then looked at where they were. They were out of sight of the Cornicopia but she knew exactly where it was. She looked at what she had and then cursed herself for not grabbing a shovel. In a place like this a shovel would be very useful in making a shelter. She turned to her allies, Sapphire looking much better now, "Did either of you grab a shovel by any chance?"
Faith reached the river and started walking along it hoping to find anyone in her group. She didn't know where anyone was, she had been too busy trying to get supplies to focuse on where anyone had gone. 'Idiot! You're a Career! You know that you should pay attention to where your enimies and where your allies go!' she cursed her self before continueing on walking.
Sapphire nodded, motioning to her shovel. "Yup." Her arm shook as she held it up.
Cullen looked around. We should find a spot to make camp."
Cullen looked around. We should find a spot to make camp."
Mirima nodded with a slight smile on her face."good that will be useful while making camp. I think that we should be down wind when we do that though...that way we can smell the smoke if anyone makes a fire and we can't see it."
Cullen nodded. "Smart." He picked up his stuff and the shovel so Sapphire wouldn't be so labored.
Sapphire smiled a thanks at Cullen and suddenly she gripped Mirimas hand as they walked into the forest.

Faith stopped in her path when she heard a bird call. She didn't know why but it sounded very familiar. Changing her direction she set out towards where it had come from and soon saw Zander hiding behind a tree. "Zander!"
Zander put a finger to his lips. He gave her a quick hug. "Where are Adara and Cecilia?" He whispered.
"Excellent." He whispered. "We'll definitely be using these. We'll fight and conquer. Together." He hugged her again.
Cullen stopped and looks around. "So this is basically what you described, Miri." He murmured.
Sapphire smiled back slightly but she still held Mirimas hand to stop her shaking.

Faith hugged him back before saying, "We need to find the others and make camp.""Yes," Mirima answered before taking his shovel, "We need a small hole near the base of the tree. I can spread the tent cavas over it and it will give us more room. And then we can hide better. Other people, when looking for someone, rarely looke up or down." With that she started digging by the biggest tree she could find.
Zander nodded. "You keep watch for Adara and Cecilia, I'll set up." He said, finding some materials nearby and trying to make the area as comfy as possible.
Faith decided that she might find them easier if she explored a little. Taking two of the knives that she had grabbed she waqlked aways a little. She kept as hidden as possible and soon saw what looked like a moving shadow. She stopped the gasp that was about to escape and slowly got ready incase of running or fighting...
Sapphire leaned against a tree and breathed hard, smirking. "Sorry I'm not help."
Cullen shook his head. "It's okay. Is there any way I can help you, Mirima?"
Cullen shook his head. "It's okay. Is there any way I can help you, Mirima?"
Mirima stopped shoveling for a minute and stood thinking before saying, "Well in the training center I saw that you could really disguise a shelter very well. Could you figure out something like that for here?"
It was the stillness that did it. Faith only knew one person who could stand that still. Taking a chance she whispered, "Adara? Cecilia?"
Cullen nodded. "It shouldn't be too hard, considering everything is grey." He said, begining to pick up twigs and he found a grey mud pit, near a river. "Well at least we have water." he said.
Sapphire nodded, smiling.
Sapphire nodded, smiling.
At the sound of the gong, Amill shuffled backward until he found a large tombstone that he could hide behind. He waited until all the Careers had their pick at the Cornucopia. As he waited, he analyzed his surroundings. This was a freaky Arena. He couldn't help but realize that the environment was foreshadowing his fate during the next few days. He imagined his face in the mirror, pale and rotted. He felt ill.
When he saw an opening, he took it. He leaped over the headstone and into the Cornucopia. He decided to go for a coffin that hadn't been opened yet. His fingers pried open the drawer to coffin twelve. "Mother of all that is holy-" he gasped, slamming the lid shut. He took off to his left and saw that drawer two, which was slightly ajar, contained a slingshot and a banof rocks. He snagged them. Ah, he thought, so I did make an impression on the Gamemakers. He almost smiled at his realization, bu he was too busy running for his life. He hurtled over the gravestones gracefully, but nearly stumbled when he saw another body. The bottom of his pants ripped, but he kept traveling.
((Anybody want to ally up with Amill?))

Faith bit her lip, stopping the sarcastic comment that had come to mind and instead nodded, "Yes. Zander has started to set up camp over this way if you still want to be in the group."
Faith nodded and turned, started towards where Zander was. She let a frown go across her face. So much had happened and she didn't need Adara to give an attitude at her. ' Oh no! Stop that! You have been doing so well with being friendly you will not stop now! Keep going! you need to act friendly to get sponsers! ' she told herself. Instead of being mean she smiled at Adara and offered to help her, "Do you want me to carry her for you?"
Faith took Cecilia and started carrying her on her back. She nodded and they continued on to the camp.
Faith Cecilia and Adara walked into the camp. They saw Zander laying on a bed. Faith smiled before saying, "I hope you made another bed for this little one." she said looking at the sleeping child on her back.
((Melanie, Amill could be with Dakota. They remind me of eachother. They'd be a killer team))Ariya waited and waited. She didn't see any sign of Claire or Zephure, and it was getting dark. She scurried up the tree she was hiding behind for the night.
Dakota's mind would not shut up. He was really over-thinking this whole thing. He would either live or die - simple as that. He began to feel neasous. He laid his head down, relieving the kink in his neck.

Mirima finished digging the hole and spread the tent over it. "There, just needs to be hidden," she said.
Cullen nodded. "Sapphire, put everything we don't need right now in the tent, incase we have to move quickly, and we can just pick up the tent." He began picking up grey twigs and mud and smacking them today, and then experetly putting them on the tent and ground until it was completely covered and basicly invisible. But it was really easy to pick up, so they could move from location to location.
Sapphire complied and put the food basket, shovel and other things into the tent.

Mirima smiled at their work before wipeing the sweat from her forehead, "Good idea. I didn't even think of that." she said.
Faith laid down on her bed which was between Cecilia's and Zander's. She didn't hear any cannon so as far as she knew all the tributes were still alive. that meant tomorrow was going to be hell. Sighing she rolled over and fell asleep."I'll take first watch," Mirima said, grabbing a bow, her one arrow, and a slingshot and some rocks before climbing up a tree. She grabbed a sack of normal rocks so that she could take a few practice shots so that she wouldn't waste any of the poisoned ones.

What you first notice about the arena is the lack of life. You are walking through a forest of dead trees. As you near your platform headstones come into site. Your stomach churns with what might be buried underneath them. Is the capitol really this sick? You step onto the play form and look around what you presumed had to be a graveyard at this point.
You wait on the pad as the seconds count down. You feel the tracking device on your arm beep. The game maker’s voice booms around the arena, “Let the Hunger Games begin!” At the stroke of midnight the gong sounds.
The Arena:
The arena is in an abstract circular shape. It’s diameter is roughly 15 miles. The tributes are set up circling the cornucopia. The arena itself can be divided into three regions. The cornucopia which is located in the center of the arena, the graveyard which is the middle part of the arena and 6 miles in diameter, and the wooded area which is the outer arena and 9 miles in diameter. All things in the arena are dead and decaying. The ground itself is cold to the touch and the lack of sun brings slight chill that amplifies during the night.
The Cornucopia:
The Cornucopia is a morgue. A morgue is a building where dead bodies are stored for the short time between death and the funeral. This morgue is ten feet tall and ten feet wide. It is easily visible to all of the tributes. The morgue is made of solid marble, and unlike the rest of the arena it remains unscathed, in perfect condition. Inside the morgue, the coffins (drawers that are imbedded into the walls) are labeled with numbers. Each coffin has a different weapon or material. The number dictates how many of that weapons or supplies it has. The numbers range from 1-14.
The following is a list of the coffins and the items that are in the coffin.
1: One basket full of breads and fruit
2: Two Slingshots equipped with sharpened poison tipped rocks
3: Three Tridents
4: Four Tent Packs
5: Five Swords
6: Six Poison remedy medicines as well as water purifiers
7: Seven Scythes
8: Eight Gravediggers jackets
9: Nine Bows
10: Ten Arrows
11: Eleven Spears
12 contains a freshly dead body of a teenager. You know, to spice things up.
13: Thirteen various kinds of poison
14: Fourteen Daggers.
If you go to the back of the morgue you will see one coffin with the number 23. If you pull it out, you will find 23 shovels. Interpret that as you wish.
There are two rivers, one that wraps around the graveyard but is poisoned with the juice of nightlock but no poison is visible in the river. There is another that runs through the lower left of the arena. This river contains freshwater and is your only source of it. The sources of food include crows and ravens in the sky and freshly buried bodies since the meat has not fallen off of them yet. There are no other animals or plants in the arena.
Things to Note:
Only Gamemakers can introduce traps.
It is a 1/24 chance your character will live.
No character is immortal if your character somehow gets that idea in their head the game makers will make sure to set them straight.
No god-modding please.
Keep calm and may the odds be ever in your favor.
