Okay, guys! I decided to open this thread under "introduce yourself" because we'll REALLY get to know each other this way. Those who know Jeremy in RISING will understand where I'm coming from, but for those who haven't read it yet, no worries. Jeremy says that everyone has a theme song. His is "Master of Puppets." He's so full of himself. ;)

So, what's your theme song? Tell us the song and give us a few lines from the lyrics. This'll be a fun way to get to know each other. :)

Okay, so after lots of pondering, I know my theme song. It's "Hands" by Jewel, which is a really lovely song, and the lyrics truly speak to who I am. Here's an excerpt:

That's such a cute song :) good choice Steph! Well mine would be "I don't want to be" by Gavin DeGraw. It's catchy but honest :) and I always try and be myself and be positive even when other people bring me down!

First off, I loved the reference to Master of Puppets as Jeremy's theme song in the book. I love that song and Metallica in general. The song I'd like to be my theme song is Lady Gaga's Edge of Glory, but I fear it would need to be changed to "I'm nearly in viewing distance of the edge of glory!"

My theme song is "I'm too Sexy" by Right Said Fred! Very tounge in cheek of course...stems from my involvement with the Berry Queens, a fundraiser loosely based on Jill Conner Brown's Sweet Potato Queens. We are all about a woman's right to express herself and let her inner queen shine through using any and all necessary enhancements all while raising funds for our local Habitat for Humanity chapter. Okay, so I have multiple songs for my theme song. Yes, I'm that person who can't decide. Think of it as a mash up of my favorite parts of the songs and there you have it!

Anyway one of them is Mz. Hyde by Halestorm!
My second song is I'm a B***h, I'm a Lover by Alanis Morosette.

Your probably like, "woah this girl has split personalities....." While that would be interesting, I prefer to think of it as me having a diverse, multi-faceted personality. Sometimes I like to wear long skirts and pink, flowery things and sometimes it feels good to wear a good snug leather jacket and some kick*** heels. One of my favorite lines by Alanis is "I'm your hell, I'm your dream. I'm nothing in between." I am who I am and people accept that thankfully :)

The third and final song is Dance Without You (Ricky Luna remix) by Skylar Grey. This song is haunting and fun at the same time and expresses how sometimes when I feel like too many people want to influence me to be something I'm not, I just want to lose myself and be ME!

My theme song would have to be..."Get this party started" by my fav P!nk! "I'm coming out so let's get this party started". I try to have fun as much as possible. I love making the most of my life. Not that I'm a typical "partyer" with lots of drinking etc. but I enjoy life to its fullest. I live everyday like it's my last. So lets get this party started!
