Illumina {advanced rp} discussion

((The forgotten language books are separated from the rest.))

Jacob rushed inside. He smelled the rich scent of books, and rushed past the fantasy, non-fiction, and historical fiction. His hands rested on the Forgotten language book. The book was filed with seemingly random shapes, no shape matching the other.

Kyra walke back with him, feeling embarrassed she hardly knew anything. She was new to all this.

Jacob beckoned her over. He glanced at the characters that were not in place, at random spots on the page. He heard a sound, and knew an illumina was about to be revealed. "oh, crap. perfect timing" he said. he checked his mail.

Kyra walks over, watching him curiously. She eyed the book.

Kyra checks her mail as well, and sees a new illumnia. cool! She thought eagerly.

Jacob looked at Kyra. "Check your messages," He said. He got up and calmly waited for her to read it. He got impatient, and said "meet you later" he rushed off to the tunnels.

Kyra had left and was in the tunnels.

Kyra ran in, not knowing if she was there first. She suspected he was invisible at the moment.

Jacob took of his hood. He was in front of a Forgotten Language book. If Kyra had used her Illumina, he would have been left in the dust. He would have to remind her. "Use your Illumina next time!" he yelled.

"I know but.... ughm your right. I was a little scared." She admitted, and walked over to him.

"Don't be. It's not scary. Just will to fly, and I bet you will. It's probably like swimming, without the water," Jacob said. He said probably because he did not know, but he hoped she didn't notice.

"mhm... okay. I'll try it sometime." She promised, but still felt a little uneasy about the whole concept. But she really would try it.

He held up the book of random marks. "Remind you or rings a bell?" he said. He asked it jokingly, because it was the forgotten language.

"Um... not exactly.." She said sarcastically, and smiled. "I'm still new at this..." She randomly said.

Jacob looked at her. "How is this knew? when did you come?" he asked. He eyed the book, lookibng for a pattern.

"Um... recent enough. As in, last week."

"Whoa. Where have you been? I don't know an illuminator who hasn't been here at least a year," Jacob said. He was also impressed, seeing how Kyra had gotten an Illumina in a week.

"Well now you know one." She said simply, shrugging. She was fairly well at adapting at situations like these.

Jacob looked at her. "Clever little Kyra," he said. He turned back to the book. He felt the silvery cloak get heavier on his back, but that was just his imagination. He wondered where she came from.

She smiled. "Yeah, I'm real clever." She said sarcastically. She didn't volunteer any more information.

Jacob looked carefully bat the book. It was at the tip of his tongue, but he lost it. One of the shapes looked familiar...

"What are you looking at?" Kyra asked him, leaning over closer to him to see. All she saw were a bunch of shapes.

"This shape... it looks like my cloak," he said, looking. "And this looks like the agile angel!" he yelled.

The words didn't mean much to her. "Oh... alright..."

"The Illumina's! My Chameleon Cloak-" he pointed to his cloak- "And your Agile Angel!" he pointed to her belt. "But I don't know how to read it..." he said.

"OH!" She said. It made a little bit more sense now. There was obviously a connection. "Too bad I can't read it."

Onyx walked into the book store. She was searching for some intresting books

Jacob ran to the desk of the clerk. He bumped into a girl ((onyx)) and fell backwards, the book falling from his hand. A page ripped from the book. "Look what you did!" he yelled.

Onyx glared at him " you bumped into me. not the other way around." she said her eyes turning a bright red

Kyra looked back and forth from the two. THis was a.... change of events. "Hey, guys. Just stop it!" She said, walking up from behind them.

"Your POINT!" he yelled. he was mad that the book ripped, and was irritated at not knowing the meaning of his discovery.

Onyx glared and bent down to his face. " my point is back off you jerk or your gonna get burned." she said to him her eyes still a firery red.

She put a hand on his shoulder. "Calm down!" She said calmly. She would have done the same to the girl, but she really didn't look like she should be messed with.

Jacob pulled on the hood and dissapeared. A wave of icy cold air blasted from nowhere. The door of the bookstore opened, and closed.

Onyx wasnt fazed. She picked up his book. She read the pages. The letters were familer. Maybe something she had seen online? " i think ive seen this before." she whispered

"Illumina's is my guess" Jacob said, materializing. they were all of the illuminas, but he did not know the code.

Onyx looked at him " i mean the words you moron. ive seen this language before. i just dont remember where." she flipped through more of the pages

Kyra walked up to see the book closer. The shapes looked interesting, to her.

Jacob said "well...". He pulled the hood on, embarrassed by being trash-talked by a fire-type girl.

((That sound like.... racist in a way, lol. Or better yet, type-ist.))
Kyra studied the book. She was anylizing every shape, though they still meant nothing to her except the the hood and wings shape.

((OD ill ad that to.. something. This is getting boring. Should I do an illumina alert?))
Jacob said nothing. He was interested, yet angered. SO CLOSE...

Onyx rolled her eyes " idot" she muttered examining the words. Where had she seen them?

"No name-calling!" She teased, smirking. She bit the inside of her cheek, thinking about the shapes.

Onyx smiled " shh girl I'm trying to remember where I've seen this chiz before." she scolded. She flipped through the pages. She usually never forgot things. Why could she remember this?

Kyra shut up reluctzantly. She didn't think she had seen any of it before, but then again......

Onyx recenginzed a shape " now I know where I've seen this." She said. She remember the writing she had seen. This was different though. A lot of these shapes were different from the ones she had seen but she would probably figure it out.

"Yes?" She asked expectantly.
