Claudia The book that I read is called “You against me.” The author of the book, Jenny Downham, uses a direct style with a clear, uncomplicated vocabulary.
There are two main characters; Mickey and Ellie, a teenage boy and girl. Downham presents them well and uses descriptive language throughout the book that let me know how the characters were feeling.
The story shows two sides of a story that involves conflict, sadness, tight family bonds, and young love.
In the beginning of the book, I was confused about the plot; however, the story became clearer as I progressed through the book. I enjoyed the way that Downham introduced much suspense, and I was unable to put the book down.
I would give this book a “four out of five star rating, because it was filled with drama, mystery, and realistic fiction. The author’s writing style is simple and entertaining.” I would recommend the book to readers who enjoy love stories and suspense.
