Out of Breath discussion

I want to hear everyones thoughts and theroies for what you think is going to happen in OOB.

I have no idea and its killing me!!! Rebecca has posted a couple of teasers on her Facebook page, but they don't really give much away except that Jonathan is in the book again....

I have read all the teasers and it has me thinking of a few theroies of what may come. First off I am not sure of what to think of Jonathan. He kind of seems stalkerish to me. So I am wondering if something might come of that just because he always new things about Emma and always new where she was. (Like the night she was making Evan b-day supper. She didn't tell him she was at that house.)I may be way off.

Do you think it's possible she reached out to him? Like she doesn't think she deserves anything better, or do you think he tracks her down?

I'm really hoping that we get Evan's POV in this book. I liked what I read at the end of the last one.

I think Jonathan will find her out in Cali and I don't want to see her have any kind of relationship with him. Its just so wrong on so many levels. But with that teaser yesterday i am not sure what to think now. yes I would love to read some of the book in Evans pov.

i think maybe Evan will read the letter she left for his mom and maybe go find her and then Jonathan will probably try to get in between again but hopefully this time Emma wont let it happen and she'll be with Evan.

i really hope we get some of Evan's POV as well.

Yesterday's teaser really has me worried too. I'm worried that she's going to stop caring what happens to her because she feels like she doesn't deserve love.

Rebecca did make a comment about some new charaters that will be in OOB so maybe its a new guy that likes her and she goes out with him to forget about Evan. That would be better than her with Jonathan.

I agree, but it hurts my heart to think of her with anyone but Ethan :(

Here's my "hopeful" take on it.

I also think that Jonathan is going to look for Emma to try and get back with her and at the same time, Evan will end up reading the letter. I hope in that letter, Emma left some kind of clue saying "please don't give up on me." and Evan will realize that he should go after his true love. Maybe he will fly to California and accidentally walk into Emma and Jonathan talking. But he doesn't realize that Jonathan finally gave up and apologized for ruining her life. Then Evan walks away and randomly bumps into Jonathan a few days after. So Jonathan tells him the truth and Evan and Emma finally meet up and fall in love again.

AHH!!! I can't wait for this book. It hurts my heart when Evan is not in the picture. :(

UGH! i honestly have no clue. i feel like every book Rebecca Donovan has thrown our way ive totally been caught off guard with. what i would LIke to have happen would be that jonaathan move the hell AWAYY! ugh am i the only one who cant stand him. He's such an irritating character. He keeps coming back and i hate it. i know that him and Emma have shared deep secrets but he's just to creepy. Anyways, i also think that Evan will give Emma her space because he's Evan and hes perfect and perfect characters tend to do perfect things <3 <3 and im hoping they'll end up together (FINGERS CROSSED) but i also have a really really bad feeling about his book as well. i feel as though something horrible is gonna happen and im dreading that but that's all i have to say. but JUNE 2013 are you fricken kidding me!! i cant wait!!!!

I think Emma will not end up with Evan.As his dad dislikes her,i think Evan will end up in yale uni.He will end up falling in love with someone else,i cant remember the girls name who Evan is friends with she may make a move on him now that Emma is out of the picture.We must not forget Emma left Evan laying more or less unconscious in the house.Sorry everyone Evans better out of it.Emma could end up like her mum.As for Emma and Jonathan his killed FOUR people she needs to keep away from him.Anyway role on next year for book three.

This is a tough one. Since its been said that Jonathan will be in this book, I can only presume its to apologize and try to win her back. I actual really enjoyed his character in the beginning but now he reminds me of an obsessed stalker so that has to be out of the question. I see Evan and Emma both moving on. Both feeling as if they weren't good enough. Whatever happens in between, I see it taking a whole lot to mend this relationship they'll both try hard to forget ever happened.

Has anyone read the author's answers to fan questions about Out of Breath on her page?

So while there is a 'not' it makes me kind of wonder and worry if a) she plans to continue evan's story later in another series with him and the do get together later in life or b) it's ended at a point where evan and emma move on and the epilogue indicates analise comes into the picture.

Just curious if anyone else finds that answer a little perplexing and worrisome? I just can't believe the author would take us through these 3 books to have the not end up together? that would be a shame.

I agree, this also had me worried!

Also, she said there are 2 funerals in the book. I believe one with be Emma's mom, but who is the other one?

So after seeing her facebook page where she answered similar questions, she said in response to that question that "she was very careful how she answered it" which someone pointed out Evan's relationship with Analise technically begain in Barely Breathing - and relationship meaning friendship. So, that gives me hope :) I think I've come to the hope that she didn't put us through these two books and have us become invested in them as a couple just to have them end up with other people that we don't care about. I think it will take the whoel book (unfortunately) for Emma to realize she deserves to be loved and to let Evan in. Any other ending would ruin the series. It doens't have to be cliche - she just has to realize she can let Evan in since she never really did.

I also think the 2nd funeral will be someone from Evan's family - maybe his father. I think Emma's mom and Evan's dad.

I think it will be Evan's Mom. In one of the teaser ques. Vivian is referred to as "she did like Emma" made me think something happens to her. Hopefully not, rather it be Stuart!! Who knows??

I hope you guys are right! I think it would be cruel to torture us with the first two books, the long wait for the final one and then them not be together...that would be awful! Idk I just have a bad feeling about the ending!

She did tell him she was cooking at the house. He came by to tell her the cops had questioned him. And remember he goes to school in Cali. That's what he was putting off telling Rachel(emma's mom)

I do not think she will end up with Evan which makes me so sad but she has put him through so much! I have a feeling he will start something with Anna and Emma will find Jonathon in California.

I got so caught up with these books... I liked Jonathan at first. I have a bad feeling about this book.

This is about Emma. She has to learn how to forgive herself and let others love her for who she is. In order for that to happen, she needs to move on. She can't see the past, so I think that if Evan appears in this book is to receive an apology. I don't know.

I really want to read this book so bad!

I don't see that happening. The first two books are about her running AWAY from people; most notably Evan. She needs to grow and let people in; and for her to finally be healthy again would be to let the person she loves most in - Evan.

Fellas, we need to remember who Emma decided to love- Evan.

Let's be confident, even though the teasers are a bit off. Besides, BB ended with Evan's POV, and one teaser; (check this out http://www.rebeccadonovan.com/wp-cont... )this clearly meant Evan still has a MAJOR role in OOB. GO TEAM EVAN.

Besides, Jonathan is like this dark and manipulative shitty-bonehead who just made himself clearly EVIL to Emma at the end of BB.

She just needs to forgive him and the rest of what has happened.

And then, eventually, when she finally has the courage to face what she has to face, she goes back to Evan.

For sure.

I know some people were disappointed with it, but I really liked it.

And I found out yesterday that Jonathan is getting his own trilogy :)

I absolutely loved this book. Definitely lived up to my expectations.

Jonathan's own trilogy??? Whaaaaa? That's exciting.

there were some people who didnt like OBB, BUT I'm not one of them, I absolutely loved it!
I'm actually having Book hangover right now after finishing the book 2 hours ago, It was amazing. One hell of a roller coaster ride of emotions!
