Why do you love Edward Cullen?

This is not to start a controversy, lol. I honestly want to know!

I have a review blog and I am currently writing an opinion piece on men in love stories, especially Paranormal/Urban Fantasy/YA.I’d like to add in opinions, thoughts from fans.

I’d like opinions on why you love certain characters despite certain actions. For example, Edward sneaking into Bella’s bedroom to watch her sleep, before they were even really friends or a couple. Or, when he takes the battery out of her car so she can’t see Jacob. (Or for Jacob fans when he kisses her without her permission)

First, would you accept that from a real life boyfriend? If not, why do you accept it from Edward? Is it because he’s a character in a film/book? Is it, because the situation is unique?

I’d love your thoughts, feel free to drop a line in my ask box or just respond to this.

I don't know if I LOVE Edward Cullen as I had really hoped she ended up with Jacob. But I love the romantic Edward and he looks like he is a great kisser. Even being an vampire. The honeymoon scene just blew me away. Makes my heart melt.

To your other questions: Edward and Bella were like the typical couple. The male is controlling and egotistical and the female the naive, immature, whiney kid. Sorry if I ruffle anyones feathers, or fangs I should say, just my opinion. I loved the books and movies of Twilight, but it is fantasy. No!I would never accept a boyfriend like either Edward or Jacob. But then, I am in my fifties and I am nothing like Bella. Does that make sense?

Do you mean in most books the male is controlling and the female naive or in real life?

I love Edward because when I read the series for the first time I was drawn to Edward. I fell in love with him, and his relationship with Bella. Their relationship is so beautiful. I wish to have a love that beautiful.
