I haven't read FURTHER CONFESSIONS yet. It's next up in rotation but I have to finish a library book first. Pesky due dates...

As for CONFESSIONS, I have to admit the prologue was a pretty good start but my favorite? I'm all about Doomsday and teething Gary the Gun. I howled during that scene and scared my dogs. The cat, however, just looked aloof.

(Okay, need to learn where the buttons are... *headdesk*)

Casey L Clark (casey_l_clark) | 6 comments I don't know about favorite scene, but I got a chuckle out of the scene when the phone was ringing and God was banging on the wall... then of course the misunderstanding about who was licking her... lol.

...and then, of course, "Shotgun!" :P

I know God is Snape-ish... but no matter how hard I try... all I hear is Stewey Griffin. LOL

Donna Huber (girlwhoreads) | 8 comments I don't know if I can narrow it down to one scene. Loved a number of scenes in Further. For some reason the all the different olives in the fridge sticks in my head. My grocery store remodeled and got an olive bar that had like 15 different types of olives. I thought about snapping a pic to send to JB - Maggie would have been in heaven.

Thanks, Silver. I love that scene too, but it was a huge challenge to write, between all the characters and the action and danger AND trying to get the humor just right. Gotta love Doomsday!

Casey L Clark (casey_l_clark) | 6 comments LOL... that's funny :) It is sooo hard to pick one scene. I love the character interactions... the dialogue is fantastic. (...and the tension ;)

Thanks, Casey. That scene was tricky to write in terms of pacing. I'm glad it worked for you.

I kinda love "Shotgun!" too. ;-)

And I can totally see Stewie tendencies in God.

You should totally snap a pic of the olive bar and send it to me. I'll use it in my blog.

Interesting (and very perceptive) that that scene stuck with you since it's actually a set-up for something in Book 3. (Because I'm a plan-ahead kinda gal)

Silver James (silverjames) | 4 comments Yay for books 3! I'll be waiting with bated breath. And baited breath if I put anchovies on the pizza tonight...

Cynthia (cynrising) | 2 comments I love the scene at the end of the first book when Maggie is in the hitman's house and they are fighting in the kitchen and Doomsday makes her appearance. That whole scene from top to bottom!

Thank you, Cynthia. I love that scene too! It really embodies the frenetic insanity. ;-)
