"I feel a little dizzy right now." He admitted.

"Not sure." He told her. "Quite a bit I think."

"Yes." He agreed. "At least I'm alive and able to stay here with you."

Xane reached out, gently taking her hand.

"We're friends. You hold hands with Snow I'm sure." He smiled reassuringly. "Why? Did you want us to be more? Be boyfriend and girlfriend?"

"We don't have to if you don't wish it, Scissors."

"Scissors, things like caring for others are not restricted to rules and the plan of others. Maybe in times past it was better for arranged marriages but I'm certain that you're strong enough that you can decide for yourself what it is you want for your future and who you want to spend it with."

"I think you need to claim your freedom." He smiled. "I want to see you shine like I truly believe you can. You aren't a dim bulb that glimmers with just the power your parents supply you. You're a spotlight, you just need to push the cover aside to let the world see you." Xane captured her hand just long enough to kiss the back of it.

"They raised you, they taught you all you need to know. Now you need to stand up, show them the true leader within and not just a puppet to have her every decision decided for her."

"You have four centuries of experience under your belt. You know how best to explain your thoughts and feelings to them."

"I do my best to be a very good friend." He told her, smiling.

"Oh they are?" He asked. "How so?"

"Are you referring to size difference or the fact that my hand is a man's hand and somehow different in quality than a little, cute furrball's hand?"

He smiled, nodding. "And that would be what I just told you."

"You did as you confirmed my thoughts, Scissors."

"Do you think people could be frightened to do so?" He inquired.

"No, you're just highly confident and some people are frightened by that."

"You shouldn't blame yourself for the faults of others, Scissors. Feeling bad for the frightened people is like taking responsibility for someone having blue eyes."
