Cecily | 301 comments I really enjoyed this book, enhanced I'm sure, by this group. My review is here (though I may tweak it in the light of continued discussions here): http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Cecily | 301 comments Has anyone read Alistair Reynold's Century Rain (and my review http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...)?

It's a really good companion to TC&TC (I read half before and half after). Both are noirish detective thrillers, featuring archaeologists and set in two versions of a city, albeit a very different sort of separation.

I read House of Suns by Reynolds and unfortunately liked it so little that I have not read more by him. I'll check it out though. Thanks, Cecily.

Cecily | 301 comments I've read half a dozen Reynolds, but not House of Suns. However, I believe it's more typical of his works than Century Rain, so if you like TC&TC and want to give Reynolds another chance, Century Rain is probably a good one to try.
