Corvus was behind Arrika on the couch, lounging full length with one arm laid across her waist.

((Krispy Kreme and a grocery store.))

"Mmm..." she pulled the blanket closer around them, closing her eyes. "Are we missing anything else as far as wedding plans?"

((Sweet, are your hours any better these days?))

>>I don't think so, we've covered nearly all the details.<< Corvus told her and then heard a rapping at the door. >>Do you think they're the others?<<

((Worked 10.5 hours in ONE shift. Didn't get a break until the 9hr mark.))

She sighed. "Likely so. Come in!"

((That's terrible, getting enough sleep?))

In trailed one male and two females. He had a shaved head and tan skin, looking about eighteen. The youngest girl appeared to be around fifteen years old with curly black hair while the other was in her mid-twenties, her hair cropped short. Liam looked at them. "Corvus. Arrika."

((Attempting. Slept for 10hrs last night. Had only 6 the night before and 4 before that))

>>Who are they?<< She asked them, slightly sad they hadn't used her title.

((You must be exhausted, over working you.))

>>I assume they're the rest of the reinforcements.<< He sat up, asking, What are your names? They all answered at the same time.

"Liam-"
"I'm Helen-"
"Etty."

>>Two girls.<< She commented. >>Does this mean you're going to make me fight Liam?<<

>>You're going to have to learn to fight women too and they're easily stronger than any mortal man I've known.<< He sized them up silently. >>Take your pick.<<

>>I kept that creepy lady away that tried to shove her tongue down my throat. It's the guys that scare me.<<

>>You are still too afraid to use your full strength on men. You should start with Liam, then. Are you okay with this?<< He looked at her.

A tiny bit of terror glimmered in her blue eyes. >>Several occasions had two men using my body as a toy. Should I be okay with strange men touching me?<<

Corvus shook his head. >>No, but you need to learn that you're stronger than these men now and what to do in a panic or ambush.<<

>>I guess I need to then.<< she sighed.

He reached over and squeezed her hand, rising to his feet. Corvus motioned the boy over and Liam came to stand in front of them. We'll be needing some additional help from you, Liam.

Arrika stepped behind Corvus, still holding his hand but not hiding. She laid her forehead against his back, feeling his muscles flex as he moved.

Liam looked at her and straightened his back a little, arms tucked behind him. "Sure. What do you want me to do?"

The Priestess is ready to start her combat training today, and we've decided that you'll be acting as her attacker... for practice.

Arrika sighed, closing her eyes and curling her hand in his shirt. She also reached up, stroking the moonstone at the base of her neck.

>>I'm not pushing you into this, am I?<< Corvus asked just as Liam came to stand next to her.

>>My life has been moving too fast since the day I lost my parents.<<

>>I don't think life is ever going to slow down. Do you want to wait on this?<<

>>I don't know.<< She whispered.

>>No one's going to hold anything against you if you don't want to. You could start with Helen if anything.<<

"Um," Liam spoke up. "I almost forgot to ask, but has Xander been here already?" He asked, eyes brightening when he said the name. Corvus nodded, I'm pretty sure he said he'd be at the hotel.

She whimpered. >>I just want you to hold me.<<

He turned to face her. >>I know, but you're going to have to do this either now or later.<<

Arrika looked down, her shoulders sagging. >>I've disappointed you.<<

Corvus wrapped his arms around her and moved, their bodies touching. >>I don't want to force you into anything you're not at all comfortable with. Really, it's okay.<<

She buried her face in his chest. >>Despite my power, I'm still just a flake.<<

He looked over her shoulder at all of them, Actually, Liam, take the girls back to the hotel and we'll let you know if anything happens. Avoid the forest.

"Understood." Liam bowed and turned, gathering up Helen and Etty.

Corvus looked back at her. >>You're still healing.<<

>>That's just putting a nice spin on how big of a flake I am.<<

>>Rika, you haven't disappointed me.<<

>>Then why do I feel like I fall so far short of your perfection?<<

He blinked. >>I- I don't expect you to be perfect.<<

>>I just fall so far short.<< She sniffled. >>Even with this...<< she gestured at her body. >>She did this. Nothing I did.<<

>>You were gorgeous even before you changed, Rika, and you're still the woman I fell in love with.<<

She wiped at her eyes, tears threatening to fall. >>I was swollen and got progressively bigger from the day we met. You couldn't stick around very long when you were here.<<

>>You think I left because I thought you were unsightly?<<

>>Partly.<< she admitted.

((Re-read Tony's Dorm. I swear they are the cutest couple EVER! I almost want to play future them over at my board.))

He frowned, feeling terribly guilty all over again. Corvus reached out and wiped at her eyes. >>I'm sorry, love.<<
